The Federation for European Education is an International NGO which brings together 500 higher educational institutions and professionals in 40 countries. It holds an official observer status on the Steering Committee for Education of the Council of Europe (CoE) and actively contribute to its work, and particularly to that concerning the reference framework of the competencies for a culture of democracy.
Since 2021, the FEDE has proposed to the “Human Rights and Artificial Intelligence” Committee at the Conference of INGOs (CINGO) of the CoE to create and lead a working group on the impact of AI in education from a human rights perspective.
